The barb end of the quick connector connects to Nylon or Rubber hoses. Refer to the following picture for connection examples. As nylon hose connections are very tight (typically hose clamp is not used), you may need a compression tool to insert the barb to the hose. For rubber hose, you may need to use a hose clamp to fasten.
